Discover the Brand new website of the Global Lighting Association!

The Global Lighting Association is the voice of the lighting industry on a global basis.

The Association gathers national and regional lighting organisations representing over 5,000 lighting manufacturers and US $75 billion annual sales.

The GLA fosters growth for global lighting industries by promoting the value of lighting, and by promoting trade practices and healthy regulatory frameworks that stimulate innovation and fair competition.

The GLA shares information, within the limits of competition law, on political, scientific, business, social and environmental issues of relevance to the lighting industry and advocates the position of the global lighting industry to relevant stakeholders in the international sphere.

The new website is organised around three focus areas:

  • LIGHTING + WELL-BEING

The value of lighting is moving from energy efficiency to the broader spectrum of quality of life and improved well-being.

  • LIGHTING + HEALTHY BUILDINGS

The digitalisation of lighting has enabled intelligent lighting systems, integration with the Internet of Things and the development of Human Centric Lighting.

  • FEWER RULES + ENFORCED

The global lighting industry needs fewer and better enforced, rules and regulations. The sector needs fewer rules on such matters as product performance, lifetime and light quality. Laws must leave room for innovation and differentiation.

GLA has entrusted the communication agency Page in extremis with the development of the web platform.
