The Breast International Group (BIG) encompasses 55 member groups worldwide, which are breast cancer focused collaborative research groups or data centres.

Some BIG groups are regional, some are national and several are international. Each is associated with several to several hundred member hospitals and investigators. This represents several thousand institutions worldwide.

The BIG Headquarters team is a group of over 30 dynamic, passionate and committed people who work on behalf of the Executive Board and the General Assembly to move BIG’s research agenda forward.

"Visual design literacy is the price of entry into the design field. If your design craft skills are substandard, and you have no sense of the context for design, no amount of interpersonal or organization skills will help you. Designers must be masters of the elements of design (that is, line, color, shape, form, value, size, texture, motion and space), as well as have an understanding of design as it relates to —and impacts— culture"
