Join us at the 2018 ASECAP Days in Ljubljana!

The 46th ASECAP Study & Information Days will focus on the new EU road mobility package and the role of infrastructure investments therein.

As part of the road mobility package, two legislative proposals will be at the centre stage of the discussions during the ASECAP Days in Ljubljana, namely:

- the proposal for a Directive on the interoperability of electronic road toll systems and facilitating cross-border exchange of information on the failure to pay road fees in the Union (the “EETS” Directive);

- the proposal for a Directive amending Directive 1999/62/EC on the charging of heavy goods vehicles for the use of certain infrastructure (the so-called “Eurovignette” Directive).

The 2018 ASECAP Days will, therefore, look at how toll the infrastructure investments made by the toll motorway operators respond to the new EU legislative package and what remains to be done to meet and, in particular, finance the mobility challenges.

You will find the two-day conference programme on the event website.

The ASECAP Days website, the Reets and the EETS web platforms are all developed by ASECAP in close collaboration with the communication agency, Page in extremis.

How to promote your event through social media?

The 7th of March 2018, CECED will celebrate its 60th anniversary in Brussels. The Social Media Campaign on the CECED’s 60th Anniversary is running at full speed: a mini-website is online as a central information point, and a series of teasers are regularly shared on CECED’s twitter account.

The campaign highlights a tipping point where the past meets the future: with a consistent theme and tone, each twitter post shows a member of the CECED team displaying a home appliance advertisement dated from the 50’s until nowadays.
This iterative approach illustrates how innovations in household appliances have radically revolutionised the lifestyle of every European citizen. A catchy call to action invites to stay in touch by following the campaign on www.ceced60.eu and with the #ceced60 hashtag or even to join the conversation through @CECED_Europe!

CECED is the Brussels-based trade association that provides a single, consensual voice for the home appliance industry in Europe. CECED has 20 Direct Members and 26 National Associations covering 25 countries.

The communication agency, Page in extremis develops the social media campaign within a creative dialogue framework with the CECED’s team.

A special website acts as a hub for all that is related to your event.
It will become your best touch point for saying everything about your event to your prospective attendees: what will your participants obtain from being there? What will they acquire? Who will they hear from? Who will they meet?
You can tell them all that in a clear and concise way immediately absorbable.
But developing an event website is not enough! You also need to think about how to promote your event.

Here are five simple ideas for digitally promoting your event:

1) Make your website easy to find: target relevant keywords when writing the content of your event website. Linking is important: an easy place to start is by linking from social networks back to your event website.

2) Highlight your Sponsors and encourage a connection between your sponsors and attendees. Your sponsors are a valuable marketing resource.

3) Use Email Marketing: correctly used, they can generate awareness and interest, engage with potential guests, create traffic into your event website and keep everybody updated.

4) Blog about your upcoming event. Thanks that you can share additional information with your prospective attendees and generate interest leading up to your event.

5) Trigger Social Media: establish your particular event hashtag! Make it memorable. Short is always better. Check that it is not already used somewhere.

"When and where an event takes place can have a significant impact on the overall success of the event. Select the ideal date and location (region of the city) for the event, keeping in mind the ebb and flow of your invitee’s busy season at work. Try not to schedule a major event in the middle of fiscal year budgeting or other high-pressure periods. Attendance will suffer if your event is not seen as a priority during a certain period"
