Great website design is the result of an analysis which is managed through a controlled process.
It is important to define wisely the communication strategy and the core ideas that subtend it. Design does not come from a magical illumination but from an intuition, through a rational guided exploration. Intuition is always present. But it is important to keep in mind the essentials messages of the project.

Even if there are many common principles that apply to corporate and institutional communication, there also are some major differences.
A communication agency which pretends to handle human-sensitive subjects should have developed real experience in that specific field.
In order to choose its communication agency, a humanitarian association should focus on the general approach and the principles underlying the way it deals with the subject.
Page in extremis, a corporate and institutional communication agency based in Brussels, has great expertise in communication campaigns with humanitarian subjects such as AIDS treatment, parenthood, feminism, human rights, etc.

ECA, the association of European flight crew unions, which represents more than 38,650 pilots from 38 countries, asked the communication agency Page in extremis to design an international campaign : “Dead-Tired Campaign”.
The dead-tired logo is a combination of two elements supported by the foundation lines. First, there is the visual element depicting the plane flying towards safer havens.
Second, there is the dead-tired url, which should always be used as a reference to the website.
The foundation lines ensure that the logo is always presented with optimal contrast and maximum recognition.
“Fatigue is a hazard to aviation safety because of the reduction in alertness and performance it creates. Fatigue is a normal response of the human body to many aspects of flight operations such as: sleep loss, shift work, and long duty cycles. Its consequences on performance can be significant in an environment where flight crewmembers have to remain alert and ensure flight safety by their observations, communications and actions. The only effective treatment for fatigue is to get adequate sleep”.
